Strawberry Ice cream pinit

I’m going to show you how to make this simple ice cream with only 3 ingredients that will seriously surprise you! This recipe is one that is a little bit different, maybe a little bit cheating, because the creaminess and most of the flavor is already here without the extra work all because of 1 secret ( the main) ingredient! Sweetened condensed milk, now I know what you’re thinking, that has an interesting flavor, sure it does! But that’s what makes it so interesting and delicious. When it freezes, it’s not frozen solid, it turns to this super thick hard syrup. Now I thought this is a great beginning ingredient, the only goal is how to give this an ice cream flavor, that is yummy.

What You’ll Need

  • 1 large bowl
  • 2 Round Ice Trays
  • Blender
  • 1 Can of Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 1 Cup of Whole Milk ( or your choice of milk)
  • 1 Tablespoon of Vanilla extract or Vanilla Paste

Preparing The Ice Cream Mixture

You’ll want to prepare this at least 6 hours in advance to when you’ll be using this as it will need to freeze before your actually making it. That is why it can always be made instantly, because the mixture is already prepared. Take the 3 ingredients and mix them together very well. You could also add in some fruit her or exchange the milk for chocolate for a different flavor. Pour the mixture into your ice cube molds to freeze. This one is a great option as it comes with a lot of space to pour in your mixture and even comes with a bin to place your frozen ice cream balls, perfect for scooping into the blender! When you are ready to enjoy your homemade ice cream, take a few cubes out and blend it for a few seconds with any last minute additions and enjoy!

Serving

Serve this immediately atop some fresh peach cobbler and you’ve got yourself a perfect dessert! As this does come out very sweet and rich you could also choose to dilute with another 1/2 – 1 cup of additional milk, just know it will have a slightly more icy texture.

This ice cream is a simple put together whenever and place in ice cube trays, added to a blender when you're ready to eat for an instant dessert! It's smooth like store bought or homemade slow churned, not icy like other quick ice creams.

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Preparing the Ingredients

You'll need ice cube trays, this makes it easier to blend and super perfect for easy portions to divide for different flavors. So go ahead and place about 2 trays out. Combine the can of sweetened condense milk and the equal amounts of normal milk. Add in the vanilla if you'd like, since the sweetened condense milk does have a very rich and distinct flavor you may choose to leave this out.

  2. Freezing the Base

Throw these ice cream trays into the the freezer to chill for about 3+ hours. This is where the magic happens! So you know when milk is frozen, it turns rock hard and icy, but you see, when you freeze sweetened condensed milk, it turns really thick like hard syrup. So, if you combine them it turns into this perfectly hard but thick ice cream cubes that are absolutely perfect!

  3. Making and Serving the Ice Cream

Alright, So when you are ready for that instant made flavorful, richness we're going to call ice cream, You'll take about 3-4 ice cream cubes and throw them in a blender, or food processer. ( the smaller the better for a small bowl.) And THAT'S IT! That is how amazing the this is! haha! If you want flavors like in the photo you can add a small handful of frozen blueberries or frozen strawberries or a handful of any kind of frozen fruit. This is very rich so small amounts is plenty to eat alone or pair with a warm dessert fresh out of the oven!
